TACTICAL ACCESSORIES FROM FOBUS USA
First Samco (the parent company of Fobus USA) is proud to announce the introduction of their new line of tactical accessories for the AR-15/M16/M4 series of rifles. These new accessories include the new M33 Handguard Mounting System as well as several popular accessories to compliment the handguard. Built to military specifications, First Samco’s new M33 handguard has an integral full-length Picatinny or Weaver rail on both the upper and lower handguard. The rails will accept any accessory with a Picatinny or Weaver base. Lasers, lights, optics and other mission specific accessories can be easily mounted to the rails. Sliding rail covers are provided to protect the rails when not in use and to protect the operator’s hands from abrasion. The design is such that no additional bulk or weight is added to the handguard. The built-in stainless steel heat shield dissipates the heat from sustained rapid fire. The handguard and accessories are produced from a special high-density polymer, precision molded so that no special gunsmithing of fitting is needed. The handguards can be mounted with the rails positioned at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock or positioned at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock. Accessories for the new handguard include a vertical grip that allows the operator greater control of the weapon during dynamic entry situations as well as control over barrel rise during firing. There are also two flashlight holders that fit the Surefire and Scorpion flashlights as well as other similarly sized lights. One other accessory that is offered is a universal equipment mount. This Universal Equipment Mount will accommodate any item that requires a mounting stud such as slings and bipods. For more information contact FOBUS, USA, Dept. ACCESSORY RAILS FOR H&K UMPs AND USCs
Tactical Excellence Inc. is now offering Accessory Mounting Rails for use on Heckler & Koch UMPs and USCs. Two types of rails are available, one for use on the UMP/USC forearm and one for use on the top of the receiver. All rails are manufactured from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and then anodized black. The Forearm Accessory Mounting Rail allows you to add vertical grips, flashlights, or any other rail mountable accessory to your weapon. This rail will not only fit the HK UMP and USC. but also the newer FP6 shotgun. The rail is designed to use Knight’s Manufacturing rail panels. These panels are used to cover any unused portion of the rail and offer a more comfortable griping surface. Tactical Excellence offers these panels in 8-rib length. The panels can be cut down to the needed size. The Receiver Top Accessory Mounting Rail allows you to add red dot optics, scopes and night vision to the UMP/U.S.C. The rail will let you mount an Aimpoint Comp M2 co-located with the weapons iron sights. Where this top receiver rail is made from aluminum it will not flex so therefore it offers a more rigid platform for mounting optics. This means better accuracy. For more information on these new rails contact Tactical Excellence, Inc., Dept. SAR, 3742 Nova Road, Office 1005, Port Orange, FL 32119. Phone: 1-386-290-5664. NEW TID (TACTICAL IMPACT DEVICE) FROM GG&G
Flashlights are no longer an optional tool for the armed professional. There is no more important accessory. They must be very powerful. Surefire has come to dominate the field of handheld combat flashlights. More police tactical teams and military special operations units use Surefire flashlight than any other make. Because of their overwhelming popularity, GG&G has designed an incredibly unique and innovative alternative force tool designed to be used in conjunction with a wide variety of Surefire models. The new device is called the TID (Tactical Impact Device) and was developed to “de-fang” an opponent mainly through the use of trapping and pressure-point-compliance techniques. The device was the idea of personal protection specialist and GG&G technical adviser, Lance Harris. GG&G’s Tactical Impact Device fits easily on the bezel of the flashlight and is secured by four small socket head screws. It can be removed just as easily. Manufactured from 4140 steel, it has a manganese phosphate finish. Although lightweight (from 0.05-pound to 0.10-pound, depending on model), it adds enough heft to the front end of the flashlight to accelerate the forward momentum during a thrust stroke. Its sharp, 5-teeth-per-inch pattern surrounds the entire bezel and provides an aggressive, and extremely effective, alternative to lethal force. The TID is currently available for the following Surefire flashlights: Executive Elite E2e, Centurion, 6P, M2, Z3, Z4, D2 Defender and A2. Retail prices vary from $40 to $46, depending on the model. KAHLES OFFERS NEW RUNNING GAME AND LONG RANGE RETICLE
Kahles, the world’s oldest riflescope manufacturer, continues to break ground in meeting the needs of the modern hunter with the introduction of a new and versatile reticle. The new reticle, #21 is ideal for running game, dangerous game or long-range hunting, providing hunters with a highly accurate and adaptable reticle. The #21 reticle will be available in the popular Kahles 1-4×24 and 1.5-6×42 (30mm) riflescopes. The new Kahles reticle utilizes the popular German post, which has been the standard for more than half a century; however, new modifications to this reticle allow for both quick acquisition as well as accurate aiming in extreme low light conditions. At long range, the post of reticle #21 does not cover up the target, resulting in increased accuracy. At close range, this reticle allows for extremely fast target acquisition. Its unique design provides a more clearly defined aiming point. As performance levels of modern hunting rifles and ammunition improve, long range shooting continues to gain recognition and popularity. This new Kahles reticle provides an accurate aiming system to complement current state-of-the-art technology of both rifles and ammunition.
