LASERGRIPS FOR THE TAURUS MODEL 85 REVOLVER
Crimson Trace forges ahead with yet another model of their highly acclaimed Lasergrips laser sighting system. The first production runs of the Taurus model 85 Lasergrips will be shipping, as you read this, from the Crimson Trace Corporations newly acquired office and manufacturing facilities in Beaverton, Oregon. The new model, called the LG-085, fits the Taurus model 85 as well as most other variants of their small frame revolvers. The grip panels are styled around the traditional combat grip to provide comfort and recoil control, but with a more discrete profile sized perfectly for concealed carry or back-up use. The new grips feature a blend of strategically placed fine checkering and smooth contoured surfaces which maximizes grip retention while providing snag-free carry and draw. The Lasergrip equipped Taurus revolver provides an impressive self-defense package for a cost similar to many stock pistols. Like all other models of Lasergrips, this new model installs easily by simply replacing the existing grip panels. Windage and elevation calibration is quick, precise and reliable. The high output laser beam is activated with a normal grip on the gun, by way of a built-in pressure sensitive switch. In addition, a master on/off switch at the base of the grips allows for complete system control. AIRMUNITION INTRODUCES NEW GLOCK AIRCARTRIDGE GUN
AirMunition International Corporation is pleased to announce the release of Glock’s Aircartridge training gun model 17T. This new dedicated training firearm utilizes the patented AirMunition technology. The Glock 17T AC was specially designed and manufactured by Glock Austria, the world’s leading handgun manufacturer. AirMunition has proven itself as a safe, realistic and cost effective means of training for today’s law enforcement personnel. The new Glock 17T AC is available to fire both the pellet firing and recoil only versions of AirMunition. The pellet firing version permits dynamic interactive (man on man) scenario training and target shooting with a multi purpose pellet as well as with the patented “Man Marker” pellet. With its proprietary “Recoil Inside” feature, AirMunition also offers full functionality of the firearms without a projectile. Today AirMunition’s “Recoil Inside” is widely applied by the major law enforcement video-based firearms and use-of-force simulator manufacturers such as AIS, American Laser, FATS, Caswell, IES and Nitor of the UK. AirMunition enables the firearm to be fully functional without the use of live ammunition. Aircartridges are safe, clean and environmentally friendly allowing training to take place indoors without the use of a range or ear protection. They use only plain air and are able to be reloaded 600 times each. The recoil only version allows students to be trained with all the operating features of the firearm in the classroom and it assists in building confidence which results in reduced training time, instructors and live ammunition used. All dedicated weapons endorsed by AirMunition come with a patented, novel safety vent providing total confidence on the range. The teaming of Glock and AirMunition has resulted in a combination of reliable technology for the training of a significant share of todays law enforcement and beyond the year 2000. AirMunition also offers a full line of air powered cartridges and reloaders in several calibers including 37 and 40 mm. For more information contact; AirMunition, Inc., Dept.
